Hello! I’m Althea Flores. I am an illustrator based in Kansas City. I love observational studies and creating color and compositional masterpieces! My work is about change, acceptance, and a desperate search for beauty. The progression of my body of work reflects my quietly confident mindset going into the art process, and well, life: that it is going to be beautiful no matter what!
As illustrated in my graphic novel page, I had an unstable upbringing but each artistic challenge after the next gave me confidence, so I never stopped taking them on. I have a lot of variety in my visual artwork because in my crazy young adult phase, I was determined to become a virtuoso and tackle every artistic weakness. With a natural knack for observation and including every detail, I set aside time to study color artistry, comics, and lettering in depth to add them to my arsenal.
