Riso Print series
For summer tabling events, I decided to create a print collection that utilizes my love of observational drawing, taking the art right from sketchbook page to print. I found that this media did justice to my emotive line and had more atmospheric qualities through the use of color, gradient, and layering. Below are personal memories and photographs turned to a reimagined, minimalist, window into my year. All are available for purchase.

Undergraduate Color Explorations
During my BFA at Kansas City Art Institute, I created various assignments. Beyond studying and presenting the world around me I learned to generate worlds in my head. After receiving a master copy assignment in my second year (where I studied the animation-geared work of Kali Ciesmier), I became obsessed with treating every assignment like a color study, where constructing and rearranging the colors, which vibrated against one another perfectly, creating emphasis and deemphasis in all the right places, became my goal and took up a bulk of the illustration process. This provided a solid foundation for all my acrylic paintings and risograph prints that followed and forever changed the way I view color. Please view my most notable undergraduate work below. The last illustration is one of my first illustrations ever for the program!
